Light breakfast of breakfast bread pudding. No coffee. Water.

Event warmup:




Did great! This was Roy's first race and my first 5k. I passed him up early on once I hit my "groove", but then I felt guilty. Since it was an out and back race, when I met him coming back I turned around and ran back out with him. I'm assuming I ran an extra .3 miles or so doing that. I also paced with him for the rest of the race and we crossed the finish line together. Considering the fact that he doesn't run, the time was pretty darn good!

What would you do differently?:

Run at my own pace. Pacing with a slower runner hurts my hips.

Turning and running with Roy.

Event comments:

It wasn't a great race, but it was small and fun. I would really LOVE it if strollers were not allowed in these things! Or if they want to do strollers, have them only allowed in the "fun walk/run" part.
