Tory's Chili

1 1/2 cup cooked kidney beans
1 3/4 cup fat-free chicken broth
1/2 large onion(s)
5 clove garlic clove(s)
1 1/2 serving 4% lean Ground Beef 4 oz
2 medium carrot(s)
1 1/2 cup tomato soup
3 small tomato(es)
2 Tbsp canned jalapeno peppers
1 dried ancho pepper(s)
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 Tbsp red pepper flakes


Chop peppers, tomatoes, and onions finely EXCEPT the dried pepper. (I also like a nice dried Chipotle pepper to add some smokey flavor). Brown beef and saute onions. I find using water to saute works just fine. Chop garlic very finely. Put everything into the crock pot and stir. Cook for 4 hours on high if you haven't browned the meat. Otherwise 6-8 hours on low should do just fine.

Special Notes

I used a can of each of the items above, but the recipe builder only allows cups or ounces. Also, the tomato soup was not reconstituted. An alternative would be to use tomato sauce or tomato paste.
